In Loving Memory of Alex and Adrian Trujillo

Just one day before Father’s Day, June 19, 2010, Alex Trujillo’s life was cut short at 33-years old when an armed gunman entered a restaurant where he was dining with his wife and their two sons.  The gunman fired several rounds killing Alex and his eldest son, 6-year old Adrian Trujillo.  His wife Roxanne, 29, and their youngest child, 5-year old Ethan, also sustained multiple gunshot wounds.  Alex Trujillo was a son, a brother, a husband and a father.  Six-year old Adrian was taken from us all too soon, perhaps Heaven needed another angel.  Roxanne is currently hospitalized and listed in good condition and five-year old Ethan Trujillo is in fair condition.  We ask that you keep Roxanne and Ethan in your thoughts and prayers as they will have a difficult road to recovery.
Alex was such an amazing human being, but amongst all the wonderful things he was, he was mostly known for being a dedicated father.  Alex played a very active role in his boys’ daily lives including their education, providing guidance for them, and acted as a volunteer parent at their school.  He made sure the boys’ needs were placed before his, making self-sacrifices so that he was able to offer them the opportunity of a better life.  Adrian was a vibrant and active little boy.  Swimming and racing R/C cars were his favorite past times.  Alex was always constructing ramps and various tracks for the boys’ to use with their R/C cars.  Alex and the boys’ were a fixture at family events.  We count our blessings that we are able to have such wonderful memories of Alex and Adrian.  Alex’s number one priority was protecting his babies.  Although no one in the world will ever be able to replace such an amazing father, as his surviving family, we plan to continue that legacy through Ethan.
The outpour of support and condolences from the community has been overwhelming.  We are deeply humbled and words cannot express our gratitude.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to assist with funeral and medical costs.  We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any amount you are able to contribute.

This has left me feeling outraged! It is incomprehensible how such evil can strike an innocent young family. My heartfelt condolences go out to the Trujillo and the Mann families. I pray that God blesses you all and guides you through this time of horror. This is so wrong, and I am so, so very sorry. I love you all, Alex, Chris, Jenni, Melanie and Christopher more than I can express. No family should ever have to endure such pain. Little Alex and Adrian can not be erased, they will have eternal life as promised to us by Jesus Christ. May the Spirit of Christ fill your hearts with the love and goodness of knowing that Little Alex and Adrian are not gone forever, and we all will one day reunite in joy and happiness. I love you guys. Aunt Theresa

To the Family, I have been a neighbor of Alex for 1 1/2, I always admire him for being a great dad to his sons, Roxanne loved her boys just as hard . You have my deepest sympathy, we will say that God had better plans for Alex and Adrian. Roxanne , be strong for your baby he’s gonna really need you now the ever. Take care

  10. Ms. Perez says:

    To The Trujillo Family,
John 16:22 Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you” This song “Love has come” By Mark Schultz is really nice.
I know NO WORDS will or can ever heal the pain or as I call it ” cover up this “empty spot” (I) you feel in your heart. I lost my only brother of only 19 years old and I know its so hard. But do know that ONLY God, love, peace and joy will ease the pain or cover up the “empty spot” you may feel. Keep your eyes and your ears open, for your now TWO ANGELS will look out for you as you may have looked out for them. They ALWAYS will be close to you, ( l know this, my brother is always near)My prayers go out to your family and pray a good, slow recovery (cant speed up a good recovery) for Roxanne and her son. MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL.

  19. Connie says:

I can’t believe this has happened..I just found out yesterday thru some good friends I live out of state and Alex and I had just recently reconnected through face book…I went through middle shool and some of high school with him and he was a very kind, and loving person always had a smile on his face and would always try to make others smile as well…he had sent me some comments and messages on FB about all the fun we use to have when we were all younger, My heart goes out to his wife and his son Ethan and of course to the whole family my prayers as well are with the entire family. But it helps to know that Alex and Adrian are now with God and amongst the Angels who will now watch over not just his family but everyone they cared for.
